eRAD’s EHR-certified Radiology Information System (RIS) is a comprehensive solution designed from the ground up by a team of veteran imaging center operators, radiologists, and programmers—all working together to solve real-world problems in today’s busy, multi-site imaging centers.

Patient Connect

Patient Connect, along with eRAD Physician and Patient Portals, is a module available with the RIS.

Integrated mammography tracking and reporting.

Robust toolsets drive even greater efficiency. Real-time Insurance Verification helps streamline billing, while Fax Catching makes documents immediately available across the enterprise. A secure, bi-directional request for photo capture of prescriptions, insurance cards, or any document can be sent to patients via SecurePIC, to make registration faster and easier.

Under the Hood.

Commercially released in 2012, eRAD RIS was built from the ground up using the latest software architecture (Microsoft.NET Web-services and SQL Server database). The security layer is integrated into the rich client, enabling secure access via an internet connection. The GUI (Graphical User Interface) is intuitive and employs many of the commonly-used navigation metaphors found in most popular internet sites today.

The RIS software system employs a powerful search infrastructure, making access to data intuitive. There is an integrated document management and distribution capability which allows acquiring, storing, managing and distributing information a snap.

With support for Direct Volume Rendering, Maximum Intensity Projection (MIP), and Raysum Average Projection modes, eRAD PACS Evolution’s 3D Volume Rendering enables creation of reconstructed images on-the-fly. The cost and disruption of routing to a lab or specialized workstation is eliminated. Gain greater clinical quality by correlating 3D volumes with 2D series to identify the same point in all orthogonal images. Easily manage larger studies with slab scrolling.

Simplified integration.

The eRAD PACS Evolution platform supports Vendor Neutral Archiving (VNA) to make data available quickly, without expensive migrations and downtime. Evolution supports integration with multiple systems—such as third-party dashboards, EMRs, portals, and order entry systems. Support for DICOM, HL7, a web services (HTTP) API, WMI interface, and XML Control File interface makes interoperability easy and straightforward.
